Youth Day on the 1st Day of Spring!

Today, Oakland Park celebrated it's 53rd Annual Youth Day. The City plans all things exciting for kids! Rides, Fair Games, Parade, Fireworks, let's just say, after 53 years, the Youth Day celebrations are still going strong because kids of all ages (and adults) enjoy all this day has to offer! I wanted to bring Riley to the parade last year, but being only 10 months, I thought she still might be a little young for thrown candy, loud sirens and crazy characters. This year, she was definitely old enough. She LOVED running around, picking up candy and was more than mesmerized by the marching bands and dancers.

After the Youth Day Parade, Riley wanted to read Wile E. a book...in his bed-lol!

And after a long nap, more running around the backyard and checking on our caterpillars, we decided to jump in Nana and Grandpa's pool.

Happy 1st Day of Spring to all!

Daily Goals

As an adult, you set goals. You have daily goals as well as life goals and all of those goals you strive to reach in between. I know for myself, some of my own daily goals are a bit ambitious but I still put them out there and try. Daily goals like, sticking to my diet, getting "x" amount of projects done at work, updating the blog ; ) or folding 37 loads of laundry during a single episode of Grey's anatomy. Ok, slight exaggeration but you get my point. Some goals are a lot easier than others but you still try to achieve them no matter how big or small.
Riley has daily goals. I'm sure most children have the same exact goal. Her daily goal is to HAVE FUN! No matter what is happening or what she is up to, her goal is to always have as much fun as possible while doing whatever, whenever, however!
So, to add another goal to my daily list...have as much fun with my daughter as often as possible, no matter what the situation may be! (and make sure to take pictures!)

Daily Goal: Pose in Minnie Ears

Daily Goal: Explore the backyard, then it's sprinkler time!

Daily Goal: Watch fun shows in a pampers box

Daily Goal: Fun in the tub!

Daily Goal: Be a monkey!

Daily Goal: Swim as much as possible!

Daily Goal: Have fun with stickers-you can put them anywhere =)
