Riley's Bedroom

As our on going house projects continue, we finally finished Riley's room! Yay! The big things we did to Riley's Bedroom were put up window treaments, painted and installed carpet.

Thanks to everyone for all your help in getting our little girl's room completed!

1 Year Check-Up

Today we had Riley's 1 Year Check-Up. I still can't believe she's 1! To say, "I'm the Mommy of a 1 Year Old" is crazy! But, I digress...She did great through her appointment. Her head is 18 inches which is in the 90th percentile. Her weight is 21 lbs. 2.5 oz which is in the 50th percentile and her height is 31 inches which is in the 95th percentile. Riley's doctor said she is the height of a 17 month old-WOW! He checked out her walking and was impressed with her balance, which made me smile-such a proud Mom! We had some tears with her 2 shots but that was expected.
While we waited for the doctor, Riley decided to catch up on some reading and see what the latest fashions are.


After her appointment she was very tired and fell asleep in her new car seat for the very first time.


So while Riley slept, I took that opportunity to drive by our new house and check out the progress.

Now, we only have 16,873 things left to do on the house =) Ok, maybe not that many, but it sure feels like it!

Busy, Busy, Busy Times!

You know when you're so busy it makes your head spin? That's how life has been in the Rutherford household for the past few weeks. Our apartment lease is up on November 30th and we are moving into our first house! We are so excited! Nick and I work at our jobs during the day and go straight to the house after work to get busy painting, cleaning, carpeting, etc. We have been so lucky to have the help of our families-they have helped by cleaning, painting, babysitting, picking up dinners and the list just goes on! We wouldn't be able to do all of this without their help. House pictures are soon to follow (hopefully!)So, with that being said, now you can see why I haven't been on here to update Riley's blog at all. I know, bad Mommy, but hey, at least I'm jumping on right now to update everyone on Riley's World (and her Mommy and Daddy's too!)

Riley:

-Has two teeth

-Sits up

-Is trying to crawl

-Says Mama, Dada, Baba, Gaga (babble talk)

-Gives Mariah Carey a run for her money with her high notes!

-Plays the piano

-Is eating stage 2 baby foods

-Is growing some serious hair on her little head

-Is already 6 MONTHS!!!!-Can you believe it??!!!?!?
