Youth Day on the 1st Day of Spring!

Today, Oakland Park celebrated it's 53rd Annual Youth Day. The City plans all things exciting for kids! Rides, Fair Games, Parade, Fireworks, let's just say, after 53 years, the Youth Day celebrations are still going strong because kids of all ages (and adults) enjoy all this day has to offer! I wanted to bring Riley to the parade last year, but being only 10 months, I thought she still might be a little young for thrown candy, loud sirens and crazy characters. This year, she was definitely old enough. She LOVED running around, picking up candy and was more than mesmerized by the marching bands and dancers.

After the Youth Day Parade, Riley wanted to read Wile E. a book...in his bed-lol!

And after a long nap, more running around the backyard and checking on our caterpillars, we decided to jump in Nana and Grandpa's pool.

Happy 1st Day of Spring to all!

Fun in the Sun!

Today we spent some time in Nana and Grandpa's backyard. They bought Riley the cutest little pool, so we took advatage of the beautiful weather and splashed our way through a Sunday afternoon!

Just a fun fact: Riley's bathing suit was a gift from her Great-Great Auntie Pat! Yes, that's 2 Greats! I'd say she's got some pretty good taste. =)

It looks like the dogs decided to kick back, relax and enjoy the perfect weather too!

...but all that relaxing must make a dog thirsty =P

Wanna play?

Hmmm....I'm pretty thirsty too!
And I could go for a snack as well =)
Another fun spring day!
