Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Thanksgiving! Riley Joy's 1st Turkey Day!!! We all jumped in the car and headed to my Mom and Dad's house for the day. We had a total of 17 people and 2 dogs and needless to say, everyone was hungry and ready for the fantastic Thanksgiving feast. Mom also wanted to get some family pictures to send out in her Christmas cards. Of course Riley decided she would take a 2 hour nap (this NEVER happens) and by the time she got up the sun was practically gone =(

Oh well, I still think Mom got some great pics!

6 Month Check-Up!

Well, on 11-20-08 Riley turned 6 months old-I just can't believe it!!!
Today we went for her 6 month shots and check-up.

Her stats are:
Weight: 16 lbs. 4.5 oz. (50th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (75th percentile)
Head: ? (but they said 80th percentile)

Her Doctor said she is healthy and growing nicely. She eats 2-size 2 baby foods per meal and in a week or so we'll start meats. She gets to have cheerios too-so exciting!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy Times!

You know when you're so busy it makes your head spin? That's how life has been in the Rutherford household for the past few weeks. Our apartment lease is up on November 30th and we are moving into our first house! We are so excited! Nick and I work at our jobs during the day and go straight to the house after work to get busy painting, cleaning, carpeting, etc. We have been so lucky to have the help of our families-they have helped by cleaning, painting, babysitting, picking up dinners and the list just goes on! We wouldn't be able to do all of this without their help. House pictures are soon to follow (hopefully!)So, with that being said, now you can see why I haven't been on here to update Riley's blog at all. I know, bad Mommy, but hey, at least I'm jumping on right now to update everyone on Riley's World (and her Mommy and Daddy's too!)

Riley:

-Has two teeth

-Sits up

-Is trying to crawl

-Says Mama, Dada, Baba, Gaga (babble talk)

-Gives Mariah Carey a run for her money with her high notes!

-Plays the piano

-Is eating stage 2 baby foods

-Is growing some serious hair on her little head

-Is already 6 MONTHS!!!!-Can you believe it??!!!?!?

Happy Election Day!

Riley and I made our way to the polls this morning. We arrived at 7:15 am and by 8:05 am we had voted and recieved our sticker to prove it! =) We made our voice heard and I hope everyone else went out today and got their vote on!!!
