Why? Because it's SO DARN HOT!!!! The heat over the past few days has been brutal! One day last week, I got in my brother's car and his thermometer read 110 degrees!!! I guess, more the reason to hit up the pool while we can, right?
This weekend, I ran over to Toys R Us and picked up the last remaining pack of floaties for Riley. I was pretty skeptical on how well they would hold her up (if at all). She got such a kick out of me blowing them up on her arms. She kept leaning over and blowing on the floaties to "help" me inflate them. It was so cute! I am looking forward to the day where Riley can actually swim unassisted. What a relief it will be once she is trained properly to swim. Until then, we will continue to go to Grandpa and Nana's pool every weekend to have fun, cool off and splash, splash, splash! At least until our Florida winter comes around. =)
Riley has been "swimming" in the pool since she was 2 months. Here is what her pool days back then, looked like:
Always on the run with the doggies in the backyard! Riley loves being outside!
I must say, the floaties worked much better than I thought they would. And Riley "swam" much better than I thought she would! I am such a proud Mommy!
