We took a trip to Disney in the middle of September. Just a few days after Kyle's birthday and a few days before Nick's birthday. It was the perfect way to celebrate and it was so fun to have the whole family together to do so!
This is the result you get when you ask a bus boy at the Crystal Palace to take a group family photo...lol!
What a great way to spend Riley’s 2nd Birthday! After her party on Friday, we woke up the next morning, jumped in the car and headed straight up to Disney! It was a short trip, Saturday and Sunday only, but we packed a lot of fun into the little time we had there. We started off by meeting up with the all of the family in Epcot’s Germany to have lunch and from there everyone ran around the parks and did all they could. We walked around the countries and headed over to Nemo which is still one of Riley’s favorites! We explored around MagicKingdom that night, watched some fireworks, caught the Main Street Electrical Parade (so cool!) and fought the masses. It was PACKED!
This picture of Riley is extra special because her falling asleep in public is like winning the lottery-it just never happens! So, I had to document it with a "sleeping at Disney in my stroller" pic because it is such a rare picture to have!
On day two we headed down to the hotel’s character breakfast and had some fun with Minnie, Pluto and Goofy. What made us all laugh was when Minnie and Pluto came over; Riley would tell us that she wanted Goofy! I guess Goofy is her new fave. Once we finished with breakfast, we headed over to Downtown Disney to do some shopping and playing. Riley rode her first Carousel and she loved it more that I imagined she would. I had to pry her little fingers off of her horse while she cried and begged for more…I felt horrible, but the heat won, so we all gave up and grabbed some lunch-in the A/C!
Last on our list was Hollywood Studios. We had to hit up the Playhouse Disney Show for Miss Riley’s birthday! Even though she’s seen it a few times before, it still makes her dance, jump and clap and her face lights up with such excitement to see all of her favorite characters in one place. Plus we all loved the A/C! Did I mention it was HOT?!?! Somehow, we got through all of Hollywood Studios without a single camera getting busted out, so no pics from that park-probably because the heat was getting to us!
We all had a blast and we were thrilled that the whole family could all get together for Riley’s 2nd Birthday Trip. Thanks for the memories!
This is how your 2nd Birthday Party went...in a nutshell. =)
You were so excited at your party! You had friends and family present and two girl cousins to play with who are just a couple years older than you. You were in heaven, Riley! So much so, that you didn't want anything to do with your birthday cupcake besides to blow the candle out. You attacked your birthday presents like you were a seasoned pro and whipped out each gift to show it off to the onlookers. You played endlessly with the girls, in and out of your room, showing off your treasured toys and books. You loved the fact that your home was filled with your favorite people. A very special and memorable 2nd Birthday Party for a pretty amazing and beautiful little girl!
We hope you enjoyed your big day, Miss Riley!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy
