The Little Things...

I have seen this done on several blogs that I read often, and I knew once I could find a few moments, I wanted to write this for Riley too.

“The Little Things”
The little things… they are easily forgotten.
but the little things are too important to forget
the little things that make us smile or laugh
the little things that we think we won’t forget
but we will unless we write them down.

Riley Joy,

Today you are...

-A ball of laughter and smiles! You always smile and giggle, which in turn, makes everyone around you smile and laugh too!

-You don't ever want to miss what's going on. Your head is always in motion turning from one side to the other. If something is happening, you want to know what's going on!

-You want to be grown up so badly!

-You love dogs! Especially Holly and Wile E.! When they run past you, you smile, laugh and clap. You also love to steal their toys and wait for them to realize you have them. Then you hold them up and wait for the them to come and get'em!

-You love rubbing your face in the softness of your stuffed animals. You also love "talking" to them in the morning before Mommy and Daddy get up. You enjoy to chewing on them on occasion as well.

-You love being outside! Day or night, you love being out doors in the fresh air.

-You hate wearing shoes! You'd rather be bare foot and have the shoes in your mouth to teethe on.

-If you could run around naked 24/7, I think you would. When bath time comes and you get stripped down to your birthday suit, you laugh and giggle like crazy!

-You don't believe in bibs or baby spoons. Once we put a bib on you, somehow you always find a way to rip it off. Spoons are just a no go! You'd rather have all of your food on your tray so you can help yourself.

-You blow raspberries like you get paid to do it! You have done this since you were just a few months old and you must love it because, to this day, you still love blowing raspberries!

-You love keys, cellphones, remote controls, flashlights, pens, key boards, earrings, necklaces, buttons that light up and cameras. These are a few things that just rock your world on a daily basis!

-You love kicking your little legs. This is also something you have done since you were teeny tiny. In the pool, in the bath, in the car seat, in the highchair or just about anywhere! You are my little kicker girl!

-You love books! If there is a book around you will sit down and page through it like you're a teenage girl looking through a fashion magazine. When you do this, you seem so grown that it has made me a bit teary at times.

-You love sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed. However, you love sleeping side to side instead of long ways, which leave very little room for Mommy and Daddy. You also love sleeping forehead to forehead (which I think is just the cutest!)

-Right now you are crazy for melon-watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew. You eat all of these until I think you might burst!

-You have just discovered pickles and you love the flavor of them! You don't even flinch when you eat them.

-You love hide a seek. When you play it, I can tell you are trying your hardest to hold back your cute little giggles, and suddenly, they all burst out of you once you can't hold them in any longer.

-You have just started walking and you smile with every step you take. I think you realize you're doing something amazing and it makes your parents so happy to see you growing so perfectly!

-You like to put toys in your mouth and crawl around like you're a puppy. Now, I don't know if this is just something you have picked up from Holly (Nana & Grandpa's dog) or Wile E. (Uncle EJ's dog) or if you are just our crazy, fun and quirky little girl!

-You are learning how to share. You want to share with everyone, even if it's your half chewed crunchy, you'd still offer it to a stranger.
